All Ages Collaborate on an Art Piece by Yayoi Kusama

We love this amazing exhibit using circle stickers! 750,000 stickers were randomly added by visitors to a stark, white, furnished space in a piece entitled The Obliteration Room by Yayoi Kusama which was recently at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC. It was part of the exhibit: Infinity Mirrors which spanned 5 decades of the artists' Immersive Installations. The exhibit is opening  at the Seattle Art Museum from June 30 - Sept. 10. Don't miss it!! And please add a few stickers for us!! Let's ALL StickTogether to Infinity and Back!

StickTogether Fosters Intergenerational Connections

When we are on the road, creating StickTogether images at various community events, we love it when the participants span multiple age groups, from youngsters who are just learning their letters... to seniors. It's so wonderful to see them all collaborating at the board, conversing casually while 'stickering' together. The NCDD has been bowled over by the response and receptiveness of the Library Community. They seem to be discovering what we've learned as well: Librarians are THE BEST!  As they reiterate at the end of the post, the NCDD is constantly looking out for...

4 Fun, New StickTogether Stories

We love to hear about the different ways our community is using our new Large Format Sticker Mosaic Posters! Here are four of our favorite Large Format StickTogether Stories: - At a conference with over 10,000 attendees expected, registrants were given a few stickers to add to the Large Format StickTogether image as they entered. By the end of the day, as the attendees departed, the image was complete. -At a family reunion, 8 members of the younger generation finished Large Format Starry Night in ONE evening after dinner, with the adults circling in from time to time. -A high school library posted a...

StickTogether = Stress Relief for Exam Period and More

There’s lots of research about the stress reducing effects of coloring books and other art therapies. Over this past 6 months we kept hearing ‘stickerers’ of all ages making the same observation about StickTogether. “This is so relaxing, it’s addictive,” is a common refrain. At the ALA Mid-Winter Meeting in Atlanta, dozens of College Librarians told us that StickTogether would be a great addition to their Finals Period Stress Reduction programs! Here are some related quotes that came over social media recently: "I have a wellness fair coming up and would like to use it as an example of a calming, stress reducer activity....
